Cordless Cellular Shades Not Operating Properly: Too Loose and Falling Down

by Ma Jason 15 Aug 2024 0 Comments

After using your cellular shades for a while, you may find that they are not operating properly. Since they are cordless, they rely on tension to function correctly. Over time, the shades may become loose or even fall off, preventing them from closing properly. Once the cause is understood, adjusting the internal tension will resolve the issue and ensure the shades remain taut.

Step 1: Remove the Transparent Cover

  1. Carefully remove the transparent cover from the side to access the internal components.

Step 2: Push Out the Center Fabric

  1. Forcefully push out the center fabric to inspect the internal structure.

Step 3: Check and Adjust the Cord

  1. Check if the cord is knotted and if there is a ring holding it in place.
  2. If the fabric is loose, it is likely because this part has loosened. Untie the knot on the cord and then retie it to ensure the fabric is taut.

Step 4: Handle the Lower Knot

  1. Pull out the bottom of the lower beam and check for another knot.
  2. Similarly, untie this knot and then retie it, ensuring that it is taut.

Step 5: Reattach the Transparent Cover

  1. Reattach the transparent cover to the side, making sure it is securely in place.

Step 6: Adjust the Shades

  1. Finally, adjust the shades to ensure they are taut and properly aligned.
